Introduction:

Optical network terminal is made up of CATV optical receiving technology, EPON optical transmitting technology and EOC modulation technology and centralized network management. ONU network unit provides high speed data in EPON and CATV optical receiver offers 862MHz down RF transmitting. EOC OLT modulates high speed datasignal to the path of RF low channel and connects with CATV signal, then it forms multiple carrying network which has three transmitting of high speed data, video and voice. Consequently, it satisfies the requirement of innovatingof broadcast and television with two-route transformation of CATV network andthen promotes development of NGB industry.
The ONU part comprehensively follow 802.3-2005and the technique requirement of EPON device of China Telecom with 4 ports supporting 10/100/1000Mbps, which owns characteristics of carrier-classoperate, manageability and maintainability; EOC part adopts QUALCOMM Incorporated’s advanced OLT device, which supports 506 EOC units, remotenetwork management, set and manage QoS, encryption, account and state inquirevia WEB/SNMP/TELNET. It has built-in duplexes in order to mix up EOC and CATV conveniently. RF output level is4×108dBuv .
